Level 2 charging equipment uses a 240 V circuit, similar to your home's dryer or range, and will charge your vehicle faster than a standard 120 V wall outlet. Vehicle models have level 2 "charge acceptance rates" that generally range from 16 to 80 AMPs. Some charger models allow you to select from a variety of power levels. Be sure to pick the right size charger for your vehicle and driving needs.

IMPORTANT: Higher powered chargers may require electrical panel upgrades and may even require utility upgrades to the transformer and service that supplies electricity to your home. Before purchasing a charging solution, talk with your electrician and/or utility about electrical requirements.
